The very thought that the person you love is cheating on you, makes your heart wrench in pain. It’s a daunting task but you should really find out. It is downright stupidity if you want to live in your make belief romantic world that it can never happen to you.

1) Lack Of Intimacy: When a man is cheating, there is a decline in the sex. That’s because he is fulfilling his need to fulfill someone else, somewhere else. There are other signs such as no holding hands in public, no cuddling, less kissing and hugging. On the other hand, if your lover gets super loving and showers you with attention, there might be a reason to raise an eyebrow as well. He maybe consumed with guilt. Or if he unexpectedly performs a mind altering act in bed that leaves you speechless and you know that he didn’t learn it from you, then where else do you think he learnt it from?

2) His Old Track Records: If you are in a position to talk to one or more of his old girlfriends, do it by all means. But ask them casually for they may get defensive. A man into a habit of cheating will under usual circumstances is likely to repeat his behaviour.

3) Missing In Action: A sure shot sign of a boyfriend who is playing the game unfairly is when he makes up all kinds of excuses as to why he can’t be with you because he is spending time elsewhere at a necessary event. Working late, conferences and tours, spending time with his co-workers more than required or needs more time to spend with his old or new buddies and you are never invited. These are good excuses to cover up his cheating ways.

4) Staying Away: In the beginning, the two of you used to do everything together, so why is it that you find yourself alone on a date night or at a cocktail lounge with your girlfriends on Friday or Saturday? If he becomes indifferent to your going out with him and actually encourages you to do so, it might be because he has plans on his own. He shuts you out, never shares what he is thinking or feeling, develops “I don’t give a damn” attitude and refuses to talk about the way the relationship is heading. If this sounds familiar then it could be that there is someone else on his mind.

5) Never Answers Calls Around You: You need not snoop around and check his messages when he is taking his shower. A way to tell if he is cheating is if he always turns his ringer off around you or walks out of hearing distance from you whenever “someone” calls. These are warning signs that he may be cheating. Receiving calls at odd hours or speaking on the phone in a strange manner are more signs.

6) New Improved Look: You have been together a long time and you are past the stage of dress-up and all of a sudden, dress-up is back and he is working out again. A guy is entitled to dress up once in a while, you might think, but you really have to face facts when he starts buying new underwear. They usually do buy them when they know someone else is going to see them because you as a partner have already seen them. Not only does he undergo a semi-wardrobe makeover but if he is showering more often than before, especially as he comes home and heads straight to bathe, he could be there washing off the evidence.

7) Cynical, Critical And Irritable: Men are excellent at fault finding. If his behavioral patterns change suddenly for the worse, there is possibility that maybe finding fault in you is to justify his cheating in his mind. That way your cheating boyfriend can say you drove him away because of your supposed faults.

Once you have discovered that he has been cheating, seek support from those around you. There is no point in taking revenge by sleeping with his friend. You have more of a character than him so it is best you move on and never look back again.
